I just had a call from a gentleman raising money for a “PAC that supports female service members.”
I wasn’t sure if it was a robo call, so I asked, “Is this a
real person?”
He assured me he was a real person raising money to support our
forgotten female veterans.
Me: You said you’re raising money for a PAC. That’s a Political
Action Committee. How is that supporting women veterans?
Him: We’re raising funds for candidates who support
female veterans. I see you aren’t
interested. I’ll place you on our ‘Don’t Call’ list.
Me: Wait a minute, wait a minute – which candidates does
this fund support?
Him: I’ll place you on our ‘Don’t Call’ list.
Me: Wait a minute. Talk to me.
Click.
And so, I missed my one opportunity to show my support for
the women who serve(d) in our armed forces.
